Can’t make it to vote in person? A Special Ballot allows eligible voters to vote by mail from anywhere. No reason is required to apply, whether you’re working away, studying away, travelling, or unable to travel.
September 25 — Last day to apply for a Special Ballot
October 16 by 5:00 PM — Completed ballot must be received by Elections Alberta
Send copies of your ID — never your original documents. Once you apply for a Special Ballot, you cannot vote in person unless your ballot has not been received and processed by the applicable deadline.Apply online at: specialballot.elections.ab.ca
